Taler Bora /Sugar Palm fritters/Traditional Bengali sweet fitters..
Ingredients:-
1.Ripe sugar palm (Tal)-1 piece.
2.coconut grated1 cup.
3.Rice flour -1/2 cup.
4.Plain flour -1/4 cup .
5.Jaggery -1/3 cup.
6.Sugar -2 tsp.
7.Oil for deep frying.
Method:-
1.Wash sugar Palm,remove the crown.
2.Gently peel the outer brown skin.
3.Separate the kernels .
4.keep the kernels in a plate.
5.Splash a little water on kernels,message to soften the flesh .
6.Now keep rubbing the softened kernel against a grater or sieve to extract the tal palm.
7.Take the palm in a bowl.
8.Add rice flour,plain flour, jaggery, grated coconut and sugar.
9.Mix properly.
10.There should not be any lump .
11.Rest the mixture for 10 minutes .
12.Heat oil in a pan.
13.Place small lumps of the mixture into the oil .
14.Stir to fry evenly.
15.Fry until golden brown .
16.Serve hot.
