Doi paneer / দই পনীর / Dahi Paneer /Paneer in thick yogurt based gravy

Ingredients:--

1.paneer -200 gms( cut into cubes).

2.Fresh yogurt -1 cup.

3.Gram flour -1 tbsp

4.Ginger paste -1 tbsp

5.Fresh Chili paste -1 tbsp.

6.Cashew paste -2 tbsp.

7.Cumin seeds -1/2 tsp .

8.Asafoetida -1/2 tsp.

9.Salt as required .

10.sugar -1/2 tsp.

11.Water as required .

12.Sunflower oil -2 to 3 tbsp .

Method :--

 
1.Mix gramflour with yogurt and whisk till smooth.

 

2.Heat oil in a nonstick Pan.

3.Fry the Paneer cubes lightly on low flame.

4.Place in salted water.

5.In the same oil add asafoetida,cumin seeds.Fry for 1 minute.

6.Add ginger paste .mix .

7.Add fresh red chili paste. mix.

8.Add cashew paste.cook for 2 minutes.

9.Add yogurt mixture cook for 2 minutes.

10.Add salt & sugar.

11.Add paneer cubes.

 12.Add the salted water( 1 cup). cook for 3-5 minutes on high flame.

13.Garnish with chopped fresh red chilies and chopped coriander leaves.Serve Doi Paneer with plain rice, Fried rice,pulao, naan.
