এঁচোর মেশানো ছোলার ডাল

Enchor meshano Cholar dal(Bengal gram recipe with raw Jack fruit) is a traditional Bengali recipe.My grandmother-in-law would cooked the recipe very tasty.My mother-in-law also make the Dal very well.The dish is very simple but delicious.Today I share the recipe step by step .

Ingredients:

1.Raw Jack fruit (peel and cut into medium size cubes and then boiled)-500 gm.
2.Bengal gram (boiled)-250 gm.
3.Turmeric powder -2 tsp.
4.Salt -3 tsp.
5.Cumin  powder- 2 tsp.
6.Sugar-2 tsp.
7.Onion paste -2 tbsp.
8.Ginger paste -1 tbsp.
9.Tomato puree - 2-3 tbsp.
10.Garam masala powder -1 tsp.
11.Mustard oil -6 tbsp.
12.Green chili -2.
13.Water as required.
Dry spices
14.Cumin -1/2 tsp+bay leaf -2+dried red -1.

Method:

1.Heat oil in a pan.then fry cumin,bay leaf and dried red chili.
2.Fry boiled raw Jack fruit cubes with Pinch of turmeric powder for 5 minutes on medium Flame.
3.Add green chilies.
4.Mix onion paste,ginger paste and tomato puree.
5.Add cumin powder.
6.Cook for 5-7 minutes on medium flame .
7.Then add boiled Bengal gram (Chola Dal).
8.Add turmeric powder,salt as required,sugar.Cook for 5-7 minutes.
9.Add water as required.
10.Cook for 5 minutes on high flame.
11.Lastly mix garam masala powder.
12.Serve with plain rice,roti & naan.
